Welcome to our family site. We decided to launch our little web site into the “blog-o-sphere”.

You can bypass the blog entries and just go straight to the photo galleries by clicking on the pictures below or click on the “Read more...” link and click on the main photo to take you to the corresponding event photos.

I know I’ve been slacking big time on updating our blog. In my defense, I’ve been busy, trying to start my own photography business and working as a contract photographer at the same time. Needless to say, I’m getting my photography fix almost everyday ; )

So, Andrés is now 9 months old and his older cousins, Anabelle and Oliver, are 5 and 2 1/2 years old, and they loooove their little cousin. This was Andrés’ sixth round trip flight and our longest by far. Thank goodness for direct flights : ) He did so well, he even managed to take a couple naps.

Pops is in town, so we were all able to spend a week in Arlington, VA with them over the Thanksgiving holiday.

We had a great time. The kids are growing so fast and are just too much fun! We didn’t have such great weather, but it was a great excuse to stay inside and cozy up to a few movies : )

Just click the photo above to see the rest of pictures from out trip. Enjoy!

It turns out that there was a Halloween Parade on Piedmont Avenue and we got out little Shark all dressed and went to check it out.

We met up with Ninong Ken and Ninang Isabel, as well as “Supergirl” and a Bubble Bee. There were some great costumes and a ton of festivities. I’m sure Andrés might get into it a little more next year, but he was a good sport in his Shark costume : )

Just click the photo above to see more from Andrés’ first Halloween. These are all classmates of mine from 1st though 8th grade, and some into high school. We all attended Our Lady of Humility, Catholic School in Zion, IL.

It was a great day to meet everyone’s families and spouses, reminisce about the good old days, look at old pictures and year books and, of course, dig up old stories to embarrass each one of us just a little.

I was pretty lucky to have such great friends in school when I as growing up. I’ve done a decent job of trying to keep in touch with most of them, and I’m hoping that this won’t be the last of our class reunions.

Just click the picture of me and my classmates above to see the rest of the pictures from that day. We have a “Chicago Family” reunion planned and thought we would get into town early and try to see as many people as we possibly could.... not kidding ; )

The first couple days of the trip we stayed in Waukegan with Auntie Judith, Uncle Bud and Rene.

Here are a few shots from our stay with them... We figured that since they were so close in age, we were going to have them baptized in the same church, around the same time.... why not make it a bigger family event and combine the two?

We feel so blessed to have Isabel & Ken and Naomi & Bobby as Godparents for Andrés.

After the baptism and A LOT of pictures, we headed into Joaquin Miller Park for a picnic. We hired some “Taco Guys”, a few guys to prepare different types of meat for tacos.... Yummmy! that everyone enjoyed and we had left-overs for days : )

It was a wonder day of blessings, family, food and fun!

Just click the picture above to see the rest of the pictures from that day. All the kids are between 5 and 6 months old now and boy have they grown!

Pictured above are Felix, Mireya, Aria and Andrés. Unfortunately, little Lucas and his dad, Paul, weren’t feeling well and weren’t able to make it.

All of the kids did so well. In fact, each of them even went down for a little nap at different times during the afternoon and did so without any major incidences..... must have been that birth-prep class ; D.

We are so lucky to have met such great couples in that class, and Andrés will have friends that he’s known before he was born!

Just click the photo of the chubby checks and thighs above to see the rest of the pictures from that day..... Esai and Andrés still have a little time before they can really “hang” with Ate Mihan : )

The kids put on “a show” for us, complete with martial arts, costumes and bow at the end. Ken and I decided to bring the kids to Dracena park, in Piedmont. Amihan was all over the place... this park has a climbing wall! So cool. And Amihan had no problem scaling the wall, even in flip-flops!

The two little dudes relaxed with me on the picnic blanket. It’s pretty great to watch these two slowly become more aware of each other and for now... just sort of ‘stare’ at each other. Esai has mastered sitting up on his own, while Andrés is still getting the hang of rolling over and getting his balance. I’m sure before long these guys will be all over the place and we’ll miss when we could just put them down on a blanket and watch them drool : )

Just a few pic’s from the park.
